Today (February 2) is Groundhog Day in the U.S. and I am making it my the official day one of my 2017 since my January got off to a rough start and I had to put off all of my plans. (Still adjusting to this!)
Why Groundhog Day you ask? Well, for these reasons…
1. It represents the anticipation of renewal and Spring coming soon (though we have very little Winter here in Austin).
2. Did you see the movie “Groundhog Day”? It reminds me that we have to choose something different to not be stuck in the same rut forever. (It’s a fun movie if you haven’t seen it.)
I can’t be the only one that didn’t get their planned fresh start in January.
So, for fun I am proposing February 2 be our fresh start and choose today, now to begin our year. In fact, instead of New Year let’s call it our Now Year.
Now vs. New because…
… that’s all we really have
… allows us to start fresh any time for any reason
… we all need 2nd, 3rd, and 20th chances
… it feels truthful to be in the present moment
… it is a declaration of saying yes for you
I ask you this…
Even if your year started off smooth as silk do you need to pivot or update? Are you in sync with your art on a personal, creative, financial level? Does your audience connect with who you truly are and what you are about?
I bring you my perspective as an artist, designer, brand expert and entrepreneur via my online courses. My main focus is to help you create a true for you foundation to grow your art practice upon.
Happy Now Year!
